It all started when..
the Eastside Elite Hockey League was founded in 2008 by Steven Oleksy. The Eastside Elite Hockey League began as a men’s summer league with players from the elite youth, junior, college, and professional levels including the NHL, AHL, and ECHL. While rebranding in 2019 from Eastside Elite Hockey League to the now ESE Hockey brand, ESE Hockey has expanded the ESE Summer League to a Pro Division, Elite Division, High School Division, and a Women’s Division competing during the summer months for the opportunity to hoist the Celeste Cup. With 19 teams and over 285 players competing during the summer of 2021, ESE Hockey is the premier hockey program of North America!
With the great success of the leagues, ESE Hockey offers unique tournament experiences such as the inaugural Paradise Cup in Clearwater, FL, the annual Top 20 Challenge in Detroit, MI, and the annual Candy Cane Classic 3v3 tournament in Detroit, MI. Along with unique tournament experiences, ESE Hockey also offers a spring High School Draft League, camps, private lessons, an annual All-Star Challenge in Mount Clemens, MI , an annual Golf Challenge in Mount Clemens, MI, and many other community events.
The annual All-Star Challenge and Golf Challenge brings friends + family, businesses, and the local communities together to help support and raise money for organizations such as Autism Awareness, ALS, Cassie Hines Shoes Cancer Foundation, Kiefer Foundation to End Distracted Driving, Mt. Clemens Hockey Association, Special Olympics, and Stop Concussions. Additionally, ESE Hockey has also awarded scholarships for continued education.
